Heat dilates the vessels and softens the muscles.

Softer air

The Himalayan salt wall gives the air a soft, mineral character.

Sharper focus

The cold plunge increases noradrenaline release, which many experience as sharper focus.

Deeper sleep

The body's cool-down activates the deep-sleep signal.

Mental stillness

Sauna in Stockholm by the water

There are plenty of saunas in Stockholm. There aren't many private saunas right by the water, at locations with real character, bookable online whenever you want. That's what Saunify is building.

Booking a sauna in Stockholm has traditionally meant spa hotels or gym facilities, often indoors and far from water. Saunify is different. Every location sits directly on the waterfront with a cold plunge just steps from the sauna door. The contrast between heat and cold water is the core of the Nordic sauna tradition, and we built every detail around it.

Three locations, three experiences

Manor Sauna Riddersvik sits at a historic manor by Lake Mälaren, offering a peaceful waterfront setting just 20 minutes from central Stockholm. Archipelago Sauna Åkersberga brings you Stockholm's archipelago atmosphere with the sauna right on the dock, 25 minutes from the city. Lake Sauna Ekerö is on an island in Lake Mälaren next to a castle, one of Stockholm's most unique sauna locations.

Public and shared saunas in Stockholm

You do not have to book the whole sauna. A public sauna session, which we call Social Sauna, lets you book a single seat in a 60 minute slot and share the heat with other guests. Sessions are open to anyone, no membership and no group needed, and they are mixed, so everyone books into the same slot and everyone wears swimwear. It is the cheapest way in, and it runs at all three locations every day from 06:00 to 23:00.

Which is the best sauna in Stockholm for you?

It depends what you came for. If you want the archipelago and a dock to jump off, book Åkersberga, roughly 25 minutes from the city. If you are short on time, Riddersvik in west Stockholm is the closest at around 20 minutes, in a historic manor park on Lake Mälaren. If you want the photograph, Ekerö sits on an island beside Kaggeholm Castle, around 30 minutes out. All three are on the waterfront, all three plunge into a real lake or into the sea rather than a tub, and all three are self-service, so there is never a queue at a reception desk.

Opening hours & price

All Saunify saunas are open every day from 06:00 to 23:00, year round, so an early morning by the water is as easy to book as a late evening. You can rent a single spot in a shared sauna for 60 minutes, or take the whole sauna privately and split the price with your group. The sauna fits 6 to 8 people depending on the location, ideal for anything from a couple to a full group. You always see the exact price for your day and time in the booking.

How it works

Book your private sauna in Stockholm online in under a minute. Pick a location, date and time. You'll get a personal PIN code in your confirmation email. At the sauna, use the code to unlock the door. No reception, no staff, no waiting. Sessions are 60 or 120 minutes, and the sauna is completely private for your entire booking.

Cold plunge included

Every Saunify location has a cold plunge as a central part of the experience. At Riddersvik and Ekerö you swim in Lake Mälaren, at Åkersberga in the archipelago's clear waters. The cold water is always one step from the sauna door.

Stockholm's surroundings of archipelago, lakes and forest are made for sauna experiences. Saunify brings the best of Nordic sauna culture and makes it accessible to everyone, without compromising on the location or the experience.

All three locations are open now. Book Åkersberga, Ekerö or Riddersvik.
